Since 2002 the Attleboro Arts Museum has presented a late summer \u201cVisions\u201d group exhibition featuring the work of juried member artists. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibiting artist review process for 8 Visionsbegan during the Museum\u2019s Members\u2019 Exhibition in December of 2019. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Over 60 artists applied to be considered for this premiere exhibition opportunity. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Members\u2019 Exhibition juror Catherine Graffam \u2013 artist and former exhibitions manager at \u201cGallery 263\u201d in Cambridge, MA, carefully reviewed the work of these artists and the field was narrowed down to twenty. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Two new jurors, Gillian Ross, owner of \u201cgallery twist\u201d in Lexington, MA, and Annabelle Grimes, associate curator at \u201cSkye Gallery\u201d in Providence, RI, combed through the twenty portfolios. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In the end, a talented team of eight was selected.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Working in diverse mediums and concepts, the 2020 8 Visions artists will exhibit their work in an in-gallery and online show from August 4th \u2013 28th,2020. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Attleboro Arts Museum\u2019s annual 8 Visionsexhibition showcases the depth of talent in our artist membership. A broad range of mediums, from oil on canvas toabstract textile forms, will be on view for simultaneous in-gallery and online exhibitions,\u201d states Mim Brooks Fawcett, the Museum\u2019s Executive Director<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Chief Curator. Fawcett continues, \u201cMy hat goes off to this resilent team of artists. They\u2019ve each worked through unpredictable times to refine and assemble a thoughtful and beautifully rendered collection for 8 Visions. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

After an exhibition orientation telephone meeting during the first week of April they perservered, not really knowing if the exhibit would materialize.\u201d Organizers of 8 Visionsare pleased to welcome visitors to the Attleboro Arts Museum for in-gallery viewing. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Strict limits on capacity will be enforced during standard gallery hours and three special evening viewings on Tuesday, August 4th, the opening night of the exhibition. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
