It is with great pleasure that we are announcing the reopening of the New Bedford Art Museum\/ArtWorks! galleries and shop in accordance with Phase 3 of Governor Baker\u2019s Reopening Massachusetts Plan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Art Museum will\u00a0open its doors to all visitors starting Saturday, August 15th\u00a0with restrictions in place to maintain the health and safety of our visitors and staff.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our reopening will be on a reduced schedule (Thursday \u2013 Sunday, 10 AM \u2013 4 AM) with a maximum capacity of twelve (12) guests allowed in the Art Museum galleries every 60 minutes. NBAM will continue to monitor federal and state guidance and adjustments issued to the Commonwealth\u2019s phased plan.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Steps have been taken to provide a safe environment for our employees, visitors, and volunteers. In addition to increased cleaning and disinfecting protocols, we are investing in facility changes. Updates include a\u00a0timed ticket entrance model<\/a><\/span>, a clearly marked directional flow of the galleries, white-gloved shopping, and extensive signage to help visitors experience our spaces safely.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The reopening of NBAM also marks the debut of a new summer exhibit,\u00a0Pastoral Light<\/em>\u00a0.\u00a0Presented in collaboration with\u00a0DATMA\u2019s Light 2020<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and curated by\u00a0New Bedford Free Public Library<\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u2019s Art Curator Allie Copeland, this exhibition is on view from August 6, 2020 \u2013 January 10, 2021. The exhibition will feature 19th-century landscapes from the New Bedford Free Public Library\u2019s collection.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Same-day tickets may be purchased online or by phone during gallery hours up to thirty minutes before the Art Museum closes.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
