Museum of Work & Culture Gift Shop Reopening to the Public<\/strong><\/p>\n

(WOONSOCKET, R.I.) \u2013 The Museum of Work & Culture\u2019s store will reopen to the public beginning Tuesday, September 1.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The store will be opened on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 am-2 pm to the general public. Admission will be limited to two visitors at a time, and guests must ring the front doorbell to enter.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

To celebrate the reopening, the Museum will offer a 25% discount on all merchandise, including books, Rhode Island & Woonsocket memorabilia, toys, stationary, and more.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The public is also welcome to make a purchase online at\u00a0shopmowc.com<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and schedule a no contact, curbside pickup.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The interactive and educational Museum of Work & Culture shares the stories of the men, women, and children who came to find a better life in Rhode Island\u2019s mill towns in the late 19th- and 20th centuries. Founded in 1822, the RIHS, a Smithsonian Affiliate, is the fourth-oldest historical society in the United States and is Rhode Island\u2019s largest and oldest historical organization. In Providence, the RIHS owns and operates the John Brown House Museum, a designated National Historic Landmark, built in 1788; the Aldrich House, built in 1822 and used for administration and public programs; and the Mary Elizabeth Robinson Research Center, where archival, book and image collections are housed.
