A gift membership to Friends of Pomham Rocks Lighthouse will solve your gift-giving problems and help preserve a vital, local historic landmark.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The year 2021 will be a most exciting time for Pomham Rocks Lighthouse, as it marks its 150th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary. Events are being planned throughout the year for members and the community to celebrate this jubilee year. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Members will have an opportunity to be actively involved in planning and participating in commemorative events. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All members receive a subscription to\u00a0Pomham Glow<\/em>\u00a0newsletter, to keep you informed of programs and activities. As a member, you have the privilege of a discounted rate on boat trips to the lighthouse and invitation to members-only events.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For just $30 you can purchase a Lighthouse Keeper (individual membership) or $15 for Assistant Keeper (student membership). <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Surprise the whole family with a Keeper Family membership (for those who live in the same household) for $50. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Or provide additional support for East Providence\u2019s lighthouse by purchasing membership at select levels: $100 for Lighthouse Inspector, $250 for Lighthouse Superintendent or $500 for Commissioner of Lighthouse Service. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gift memberships at these select levels will also receive a ceramic ornament, packaged in cellophane, featuring Santa on top of Pomham Rocks Lighthouse. Corporate memberships are also available at $250. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Memberships are renewable annually. The membership year is from January 1 to December 31. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Whatever level you choose, you will feel the personal satisfaction in knowing that your gift membership assists with the support and preservation of this historic maritime light station and museum.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A gift membership package, including a welcome letter, membership card, newsletter and lighthouse sticker will be sent. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Located on an island off the coast of East Providence, Pomham Rocks Lighthouse\u00a0is the last surviving lighthouse in upper Narragansett Bay. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Lighthouse was built in 1871 and served as a navigational aid to the brisk shipping traffic in the Providence River until the Coast Guard decommissioned it in 1974. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
