WAKEFIELD, RI \u2013\u00a0Enjoy a magical holiday concert from the comfort of your home!\u00a0Tony nominee\u00a0and\u00a0Emmy winner\u00a0Liz Callaway,\u00a0(the original voice of\u00a0Anastasia<\/em>),\u00a0will perform a mix of holiday favorites, beloved Broadway showtunes, share stories about the holidays and her career, and offer a preview of music from her new holiday album,\u00a0Comfort and Joy \u2013 An Acoustic Christmas.<\/em>\u00a0The stream will also include a special behind-the-scenes interview with the artist and a post-show Q&A, which followed the premiere of the concert on Friday, December 11. The stream will be available for viewing until January 4. Your ticket purchase will allow you to enjoy the concert for up to 24 hours after you begin watching.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Ms. Callaway made her Broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim\u2019s\u00a0Merrily We Roll Along<\/em>, received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in\u00a0Baby<\/em>, and for five years, won acclaim as Grizabella in\u00a0Cats<\/em>. She also starred in the original casts of\u00a0Miss Saigon, The Three Musketeers<\/em>, and\u00a0The Look of Love.<\/em>\u00a0Other New York appearances include the legendary\u00a0Follies in Concert<\/em>\u00a0at Lincoln Center,\u00a0A Stephen Sondheim Evening, Fiorello<\/em>\u00a0(Encores), and\u00a0Hair<\/em>\u00a0in Concert. Regional and international credits include Dot in\u00a0Sunday in the Park with George<\/em>, Eva Peron in\u00a0Evita<\/em>, Norma Desmond in\u00a0Sunset Boulevard<\/em>, the European premiere of\u00a0Sondheim on Sondheim<\/em>\u00a0at London\u2019s Royal Festival Hall, and most recently, starred in the one-person play\u00a0Every Brilliant Thing<\/em>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Liz sang the Academy Award-nominated song \u201cJourney to the Past\u201d in the animated feature\u00a0Anastasia<\/em>. Other film credits include Jasmine in the two\u00a0Aladdin<\/em>\u00a0sequels,\u00a0The Swan Princess,<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0The Rewrite<\/em>\u00a0with Hugh Grant.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

She received an Emmy Award for hosting \u201cReady to Go,\u201d a daily, live children\u2019s program on CBS in Boston. Other television credits include \u201cIn Performance at the White House,\u201d \u201cInside the Actor\u2019s Studio: Stephen Sondheim,\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0<\/em>\u201cThe David Letterman Show.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Her extensive concert and symphony career has included appearances in London, Paris, Iceland, Vietnam, Australia, China and nearly every major city in the U.S. Ms. Callaway performs regularly with her sister Ann Hampton Callaway, as well as composer Stephen Schwartz, and has had the great pleasure of singing with Jimmy Webb, Paul Williams, and the legendary Johnny Mathis.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Theatre By The Sea has had many incarnations since opening on August 7, 1933. Tommy Brent saved the theatre from demolition in 1967 and ran it successfully until FourQuest Entertainment took over the lease in 1988. Following extensive renovations, FourQuest reopened the theatre in the spring of 1989 and continued producing high quality entertainment at the seaside playhouse until the fall of 2003. Bill Hanney purchased the property in 2007 and, with producing partners, successfully mounted a production of\u00a0A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum<\/em>, just six weeks later, reopening the historic theatre on August 8, 2007. Since then, Theatre By The Sea has continued to produce a four-musical subscription season, a late-night cabaret series, a children\u2019s theatre festival, and a children\u2019s summer theatre camp.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
