These timely talks will highlight the lives and works of some of the most influential African-American artists. Join us as we explore a wide assortment of art media and address themes of identity, experience, culture, racism, civil rights, and more. Suzanne Lewis has over 30 years experience in the field of Adult Education, having taught both classes in English as a Second Language and GED classes in Providence and Central Falls. She has a degree in Art of Teaching from Rhode Island College. She is also a practicing artist with a Certificate in Drawing and Painting Studies from RISD. For the past 10 years she has given presentations on different artists and periods of Art History through the Lifelong Learning Collaborative and other local art associations.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #004a95;\"><strong>Registration for the three session is $20, $15 for Linden Place and Portsmouth Art Guild members.
