A Gathering at The Museum At The Mill<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Bridgewater State University Interns, Mill Volunteers, Board Members, BSU Actresses and guests gathered in the Studio at Dodge Mill to rehearse for the video production of \u201cA Hundred Years Of Mill House Kitchens.\u201d <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

L-R AROUND THE CIRCLE: KIERSTEN, COLIN, DESTINY, AARON, ASPEN, SAMANTHA<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The group of interns took one last tour of the sets before the filming began. In an informal tutorial sharing session, each shared their knowledge of the kitchens. Their knowledge was uniquely significant for the actresses. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Samantha, Destiny, Colin and Aaron had scoured The Mill selecting furniture, artifacts and antiques and gathered it to The Studio. Gathering involved moving their finds, often on the freight elevator, to the sets. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

From candles and wooden bowls, to kerosene lamps and meat grinders, and to pin-up lamps and Tupper ware, they know their stuff. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Research and scholarship and labor, each has its own rewards.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As filming neared, Destiny, Aaron and Colin focused on their thing.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Destiny shares some unique knowledge with Aspen. Probably about rolling pins and pewter mugs<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Aaron shares some \u201calone\u201d time \u201cfixing\u201d the dialogue and history he wrote for the actresses\u2019 scripts even though there was nothing to fix.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Colin is ready to roll the film. And while he waited, he kept moving things, and dusting things, fixing curtains and sweeping the sets.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Samantha did a final walking thru with Aspen and Kiersten.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Maybe the \u201chousewives\u201d have never worn an apron before this role.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

One last look outside and Samantha whisked them away to \u201cchange\u201d for the performance.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Kiersten, Jim and Aspen share a moment about pace and comfort and being yourself in their roles.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Gary Demers got to say, \u201cQuiet on the set.\u201d Colin got to roll the camera and say \u201cThree, two, one.\u201d The crew got to listen and watch and applaud. Yes, there was spontaneous applause. After each segment Kiersten and Aspen were applauded for bringing the work to life.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Gary, Aspen and Kiersten chatting, laughing, and enjoying memories of a successful day of Studio work done well. \u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, the film footage is \u201cin the can\u201d for \u201cA Hundred Years Of Mill House Kitchens.\u201d <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
