The traditional Attleboro Historical Preservation Society yard sale at Dodgeville Mill set up early in mist and fog, opened under sunny skies and after it closed was cleaned up and put away in a torrential thunderstorm.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\nAs we say in New England, \u201cIf you don\u2019t like the weather, wait a minute.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nOf course, with the sale packed away, the soaked volunteers celebrated their own efforts as the sky cleared, and the sun returned.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nThe initial Mill Tour was added to the yard sale this year. The Tour was organized by The Museum At The Mill.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nWithout the immense efforts of Gary Demers, his staff and his crew, the Tour would not have been possible.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe Tour Guides were members of the Board of Directors of The Museum At The Mill. Invited guests and friends assisted the Guides to make the Tour a success. The tour was mapped with stations. Each Guide afforded unique knowledge and informed, personal observations about The Museum At The Mill.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nTour visitors were gathered into groups of ten or fewer visitors to walk the mill.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nAt times there were more than one hundred tourists waiting in line. Groups and their guides entered the Mill every ten minutes. At times there were four groups touring at one time.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nThe tourists were thrilled, and more than one guest mentioned a grandmother who had worked in the Mill. Two comments most heard were \u201cWow!\u201d and \u201cWhen will you be doing this next time?\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nMany visitors were impressed with the newest office spaces in the Mill as the space is being built out for today and the future.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\nMany unexpected reunions were celebrated.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nMany new friendships were minted.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
