MONTREAL BOTANICAL GARDEN<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

WOONSOCKET, R.I. \u2013 The Museum of Work & Culture invites the public to an upcoming event that will help curate the 2020\u00a0Flickers\u2019 Rhode Island International Film Festival.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Cin\u00e9 Qu\u00e9bec, an evening of Qu\u00e9becois films in celebration of the month of Francophonie, takes place Thursday, March 5, at the MoWC. The evening will begin at 6pm with a wine and cheese reception in the MoWC gallery.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

At 7pm, attendees will watch and vote on new and exciting short films from Qu\u00e9bec currently under consideration by RIIFF. The film that wins the most votes will gain automatic competition entry to the festival.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Cin\u00e9 Qu\u00e9bec\u00a0will conclude with a screening of the feature-length film Les fleurs oubli\u00e9es<\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In the film, Brother Marie-Victorin, founder of Montreal\u2019s Botanical Garden, is bored with heaven and decides to return to earth to help Albert Payette save Quebec\u2019s flora from Transgenia, a multinational that is poisoning the Earth with chemicals.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
