Linden Place Honors Women\u2019s History Month with \u201cThe Ladies of Linden Place\u201d Mansion Tour<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Hear the stories of the women who lived and worked at Linden Place Mansion through the ages at Linden Place\u2019s \u201cLadies of Linden Place\u201d Guided Tour.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In celebration of Women\u2019s History Month, a special docent-led tour is being offered on Saturday, March 7 and Saturday, March 21 at 11:00 AM focusing on the lives of the women who made history at Linden Place Mansion.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As you tour the 200-year old mansion rooms, the women of Linden Place come alive through portraits, photographs, artifacts and more. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Learn about generations of DeWolf & Colt women who lived at Linden Place and the daily lives and roles of women in the 19th<\/sup>\u00a0and early 20th<\/sup>\u00a0centuries.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Hear the stories about the different women who lived and worked at Linden Place Mansion from 1810 through 1986. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A\u00a0slave trader\u2019s wife (Charlotte DeWolf,) a widow who to make ends meet turned Linden Place into a boarding house (Sarah DeWolf,) the social \u201cgrand dame\u201d of Bristol (Theodora DeWolf Colt,) who saved Linden Place from the auction block and an Oscar award-winning actress (Ethel Barrymore), who spent summers at Linden Place. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Admission is $10, $8 for seniors and students with an ID. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
