TOM SHACHTMAN<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Shachtman makes the case as to how the disparity between social classes affected the Revolution, and the ways in which capitalism\u2019s growth spurt in the new United States of America helped more of its people climb the economic ladder.\u00a0 Today, when some question whether the Founding Fathers are still relevant and their economic wisdom is still valid, Schachtman\u2019s book answers \u2018yes\u2019 and shows us why.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a compelling and important story, told well and at the right time, and deserves a lot of attention,\u201d says former executive editor of\u00a0Fortune<\/em>, Peter Petre. Discover the \u201cgritty reality\u201d of the American Revolution and its founders\u2019 financial gain. Tom Shachtman is the author of\u00a0How the French Saved America,<\/em>\u00a0and many other histories, as well as documentaries for ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, and BBC, and taught at New York University, lectured at Harvard, Stanford, Georgia Tech, the Smithsonian, and the Library of Congress.\u00a0 He is a former chairman of The Writers Room in Manhattan, and an occasional columnist for the\u00a0Lakeville Journal<\/em>\u00a0of Northwest Connecticut.
