An All-Media, Judged Exhibit for Wickford Art Association Members North Kingstown (RI) Wickford Art Association (WAA) will launch an in-gallery exhibit of works by its members July 24 through August 16, 2020.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

STEPHEN BRIGIDI<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Through this exhibit WAA welcomes Stephan Brigidi as judge for all awards. An all-media exhibit, WAA members are allowed the opportunity to submit one work, which best represents their artistic vision and application of their skill.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This exhibit will run in-gallery from July 24 \u2013 August 16, 2020 and also as a virtual gallery online at\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Admission to the gallery, located at 36 Beach Street, North Kingstown, RI is always free and open to the public Wednesdays through Sundays all summer (noon-3 pm).<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Wickford Art Association is a non-profit organization with over 450 members from Rhode Island and New England. The association hosts art shows and classes in its North Kingstown gallery and has produced the summertime Wickford Art Festival since 1962. Wickford Art Association is dedicated to educating, encouraging and inspiring artists and art lovers throughout the community.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Stephan Brigidi \u2013 Judge<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Stephan Brigidi was born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1951, and is a widely published artist whose work has been exhibited throughout the United States and Europe. Brigidi received his MFA at RI School of Design in 1976, studying with Harry Callahan and Aaron Siskind.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

He received a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship to Italy from and a Photographer\u2019s Fellowship from the National Endow\u00adment for the Arts, along with other grants and awards. Brigidi has been an invited artist resident to the MacDowell Colony, the Yaddo Colony, and MASS\/MoCA.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Previous publications include a collaboration with the poet, Robert Bly, on\u00a0Angels of Pompeii<\/em>, published by Ballantine Books, NY in 1991.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Remarkable People<\/em>\u00a0is Brigidi\u2019s second book published in 1995 by the Sunningdale Foundation, RI.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Afraid of the Dark: A Venetian Story,\u00a0<\/em>was published in 2015 by BVT Publishing, Reading, California.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
