FRIENDS OF THE TEN MILE RIVER

FROG POND CLEAN-UP

Good Afternoon,

Friends of the Ten Mile and Bucklin Brook will be conducting a cleanup  this coming Sunday, October 4th at 8:00 AM.

We will be meeting at the Doreen Tomlinson Baseball Field on Daggett Avenue in Pawtucket and will be cleaning the area around the small pond. This cleanup will take about an hour.

Wear long pants/sleeves and bring gloves. Also, please bring loppers if you have them and would like to clear out some of the trails.

I hope everybody has had the opportunity to watch the three videos that were shared to our Facebook wall detailing our recent journey along Bucklin Brook in Pawtucket.

I feel that these events were a big success and this was a good start to protecting that small and neglected waterway. Thanks again to all who took part and made it all possible.

On a side note, our partners at Runnins River Watershed Alliance are doing a short walk with the Seekonk Land Trust on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM. The walk will take place along Burrs Pond and the Runnins River at Martin Wildlife Refuge in Seekonk.

Please contact RRWA by emailing

runninsriveralliance@gmail.com

if you would like to take part.

This should be a productive weekend. I hope to see you.
