“KEEP CAPE COD CREATIVE”

New! Great online classes and more!

It’s never been more important for the Cultural Center to bring you programming and the fulfillment that comes with artistic participation.

We are therefore working hard to ensure accessibility throughout this unparalleled time in our history.

Since we closed our physical doors two weeks ago, we have been working around the clock, adapting programming, advocating on behalf of arts organizations at the state and federal level, and dealing with uncertainty within our own families and homes.

“Keep Cape Cod Creative” is a campaign to provide on line classes, demonstrations, presentations, exhibits, and other opportunities for people everywhere to stay engaged.

Here below, you will find the first of many on line classes to come, calls for arts, and other ways to stay connected while we’re alone together.

Until we can open our doors again, we invite you to join us from afar.

Thank you. KEEP CAPE COD CREATIVE

An Invitation

IN AN EFFORT TO DOCUMENT THIS EXTRAORDINARY SITUATION …

Hello,

Art can define a time. I am therefore reaching out to invite you to share your art and personal stories about how you are navigating your way through this terrifying and challenging pandemic. How are you coping with social isolation, filling your time, and reacting to the pandemic emotionally, intellectually, physically, and artistically?

What soothes you? Inspires you? Motivates you? How do you stay creative? How are you responding? Is this isolation hell, or have you found sanctuary? Have you sought alternative ways to share your work?

Because the arts, in all forms, are lifelines and provide solace to so many–whether through creation or appreciation–I am writing to ask you to share your stories and your work: visual, media arts, music, written, culinary, or performance arts, including a video blog (if you are inclined).

I would like to incorporate your submissions into a video to document our creative response to this pandemic and to later share this video with the world through the Cultural Center’s website, social media pages, and on-line galleries.

You can connect with me via email at jblatchford@cultural-center.org. Small files can be sent through email, and l arger files can be uploaded through www.wetransfer.com

Thank you, and please stay safe and well during this difficult time.

Best wishes,

Judy Blatchford
